The 1st Open drawing bienniale in Pula was realized in 2021. It was attended by 97 authors from Croatia and the wider region, Greece, Great Britain, Germany, and Italy. The project was well received with excellent reactions. 2nd Open drawing bienniale in Pula will take place during September and October.

The backbone of this project is based on drawing as an art discipline. Authors are expected to submit works in art or non-art materials and means that were created by drawing or that problematize technology, the drawing procedures. Authors have the freedom to choose a topic. Works are subject to selection. Thoughtful works with a multi-layered message will have priority in the selection process. An exhibition will be made of the selected works and presented in CAFAI Gallery, Pula, Croatia.

- the size of the work must not exceed 70 x 100 cm
The Biennale Committee will review the submitted proposals by September 1st 2023
Authors are responsible for the delivery and return of their works!
The open call will run until 25th of August 2023.
The delivery date for artworks is 14th of September 2023.
The exhibition will run from 15th of September to 18th of October 2023, with an official opening event on the 15th of September 2023 from 8 pm at our gallery space in Pula.
Registration fee payment is 15 €, to be paid after the selection.
